* FILM
I just returned from a quick trip to NYC to celebrate the Premiere of
Oscar Boyson's feature film Our Hero Balthazar with our Locations
Team. This film is wild and I am very interested to see what the world
thinks of it when it gets distribution. We were excited Oscar & Team
wanted to film Texas as Texas and boy was it an adventure. There is no
way I could have helped this film to happen without Assistant Location
Managers David Velez & Connor DiPrinzio and Associate Producer,
Jordan Alexander. Extra special thanks go out to Matilda Weeden & the
City of Denton, the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Transportation
Authority and all of the small businesses and private residents who said
"Yes" to this indie film. It's a humbling honor to be able to find some
really cool locations for a Director, Designers, Cinematographers &
Actors to play in and we cannot do it without film-friendly folks.
* TELEVISION
Last year brought the cast & crew of 1923 (Yellowstone Prequel) back together! Once again, I was invited to serve as Props Coordinator. We
had a incredible adventure in Texas and Montana filming Season 2. I
have to say that I have so much gratitude for each of the hundreds of hardworking and incredibly talented crew who collaborated to create
this show. The Art Department on a period project, particularly Props, is
so much fun, especially when you get to work with people who care so deeply about the delicious nuance of story. I'm particularly proud of the recreation of Ellis Island. These guys, pictured below in the Montana
snow, have giant hearts, a wildly wonderful sense of humor, courage, creativity, and epic problem solving skills. I always say that it takes a specific breed to tackle these gigantic shows. We never backed down
from the challenge.
UPDATE: All episodes of 1923 as well as some behind the scenes footage are now streaming on Paramount+.

December 2024 - June 2025
* ACTING
I have been lucky of late in other areas, so I don't have a lot of acting
updates right now. I will say that I had the opportunity to go to a
SAGAftra Rally in Dallas and also fly to Los Angeles and walk with
some friends (family really) during this last Writers & Actors Strike.
Striking is something we never want to have to do and the time off
during these strikes hurt a lot of people - extremely hardworking and
talented people, many who still haven't found work - or have worked,
but still haven't been able to replenish the resources they had to use
during that time and since. That being said, joining the walk was an
incredible time of community and solidarity. The energy was palpable,
the efforts and conversations were extremely important, and we all
need to know that we are not alone. Especially now, it's more
important than ever to show up for each other.
On that subject, I also want to say that a lot of my favorite arts organizations are currently suffering due to the elimination of their National Endowment for the Arts Grants. If you have a favorite local theatre or dance company and have the means, please support them in any way you can. If you want to know some of my favorites that have asked for help. Reach out. I love talking about the beautiful work they do.
* VOICEOVER
I can't wait to be back in the booth. It's one of my favorite places to be. If you'd like to hear some of my work, you can find some of it on Audible.
